Mercy Hospital, Univision and the Florida Heart recently celebrated Vida Sana Healthy Life Day with free screenings for cholesterol, diabetes, and high blood pressure at Mercy Hospital. November 16th was declared by Mayor Carlos Alvarez as Vida San Healthy Life Day, a day for Hispanics to focus on preventive health. The day also recognizes a special group of more than 250 Miami-Dade physicians called the Vida Sana Healthy Life Association
